I did not had the time to travel to San Diego this year, but i'm planning on going in 2012. 'm going to show you a few small things for Comic Con because i don't have alot of time.I'm working on the script again and i'm very busy doing a job. But what i can do is to show two pictures that i made on the filmset of my previous vacation job ;)
Marriage scene :)
Camera :D
Wow, this should not be in here. Uhm, let's tell you anyway. These are the few guns we acquired for our own shortfilm. They look quite real, aren't they? :)
Comic-Con 2011: Spielberg announces Jurassic Park 4( if you haven't heard it)
Steven Spielberg made his first ever appearance at Comic-Con today.
The filmmaker confirmed that the long in development Jurassic Park 4 is definitely on its way.
“Jurassic Park 4 has a story,” he revealed. “We have a writer, and we’re hoping to make Jurassic Park 4 within the next two or three years.”
The movie mogul kept the announcement brief, shying away from offering up any further details about the fourquel at this early stage in development. Let's hope it will be damn good!
Comic-Con 2011: Francis Ford Coppola presents Twixt
Legendary filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola kicked off Day 3 of Comic-Con with footage of his new gothic mystery, Twixt.
Starring a ponytailed Val Kilmer as a “bargain basement Stephen King”, Twixt sees the paperback writer investigating a bizarre murder that may or may not have something to do with a vampire cult – helped along by the spirit of Poe himself.
Coppola used his slot to conduct a cinematic experiment, using editing software on his iPad to re-shuffle the footage live and show a second, different version.
The director enthused about embracing new technology, saying he’d like to take the film on tour and play it with a live score, re-editing the film in real-time according to what “the audience like and dislikes.”
The 3D was well received and most applauded Coppola for his experimental approach. Twixt is coming out later this year.
Comic Con: Knights Of Badassdom first Trailer( ABED FROM COMMUNITY??)
It's been a year since we heard about this project. It tells the heroic story of Five live-action roleplayers fighting a real demon. Peter Dinklage has been joined by True Blood's Ryan Kwanten, Firefly's Summer Glau, Treme's Steve Zahn and The Lincoln Lawyer's Margarita Levieva.
Knights of Badassdom doesn’t have a release date yet but should hopefully be out later this year.
COMMUNITY PANEL
If you are familiar with the series, you have to watch it. It's hilarious. If you are not familiar, go buy season one& two and then come back and watch it. It's such a shame it has to battle The Big Bang Theory. This series deserves so much more!
Steve Spielberg and Peter Jackson made some deal a while back where they would and each direct a film in a couple of films about the internationally popular Tin Tin character. Somewhere along the line this movie, is ending production and is on its way to completion for release later this year. A new trailer has been launched and the premiere will be in Brussels, Belgium. Can't wait!
Kevin Costner may join Tarantino’s Django Unchained
Kevin Costner is the latest A-list name to be associated with Quentin Tarantino’s next film, Django Unchained.
Being pitched as a ‘Southern’, Django plays with the tropes of Westerns in a story about a freed slave (Jamie Foxx) who attempts to save his wife from an evil plantation owner (Leonardo DiCaprio).
According to Deadline, Costner would play Ace Woody, the evil sonofabitch who’s responsible for training slaves to fight in amusement park Candyland.
Costner’s not struck a deal yet, but he’s clearly interested in working with Tarantino for the first time.
It was showing before Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2 this weekend, but now the official teaser trailer for The Dark Knight Rises has been unleashed online.
It turned up on the movie’s official Facebook page, and it offers salivating fans the chance to rewatch it at their leisure.
Nolan and co have packed in enough to get the pulse pounding without revealing much about the plot.Plus, we get reminded, via recycled Batman Begins and The Dark Knight clips, Liam Neeson's voiceover, and some ominously worded title cards (“Every Journey Has An End’), that this will be the final gilm for Nolan’s Dark Crusader.
MMV: We've been taking a holiday but we'll be back soon with much more information!
A British historical drama starring Colin Firth as the stuttering monarch King George. With Helena Bonham Carter and Geoffrey Rush. Won Four Oscars.
Movie Monstrosity Blog: This film could easily have been a slow, dull pacing piece of history but thanks to the high-class production values, the actors and the director it’s a stuttering beautiful piece of well formed entertainment, heated on the lightness of the dialogue. Lovely!
Black Swan
A horror drama starring Nathalie Portman, Mila Kunis as White and Black Swan. Darren Aronofsky at its best! Won one Oscar.
Movie Monstrosity Blog: In a world of ego’s and tipping feet, Aranofsky starts his new film with a mix of several genres, masterpieces and a story that blows you away. + Lesbian scene
Rango
Animated Comedy western starring Johhny Depp as the chameleon Rango. A non-3D film and still looking so awesomely good? Great job, Gore Verbinski!
Movie Monstrosity Blog: As Fear&Loathing is one of my favourite films, I can’t stay neutral. This animation film really grabs Pixar at the throat, it’s filled with references like Clint Eastwood, westerns( great genre!) It is a pure homage to film history. Also, this film was not released in 3D which makes it so much better.
True Grit
Fantastic Western with Jeff Bridges as Rooster Cogburn, Josh Brolin, Matt Damon and young Hailee Steinfeld. Nominated for 10 Oscars.
Movie Monstrosity Blog: I made my own “spaghetti western short film” named Rifle&Revolver last year, and it such a laugh.( The film was bad on the level of acting, movie shots was kind of trying out, sound wasn’t so good) but this movie…just wow. It’s a remake yes, but still. The actinf of Jeff Bridges was so good It nearly blew my mind.
Ethan and Joel Coen made a fantastic western that will be burned in our memories forever. I saw Jonah Hex and I thought it was the death of a filmgenre. Westerns we’re slowly returning to the screen, a few every year but then that crapmovie and I really thought it was over. And then, True Grit. Wow! Thank you Ethan and Joel Coen!
Source Code
An action thriller centered on a soldier who wakes up in the body of an unknown man and discovers he's part of a mission to find the bomber of a Chicago train. With Jake Gyllenhaal as Colter Stevens. Directed by Duncan Jones( Moon )
Movie Monstrosity Blog: I saw Moon and it was a magnificent piece of art. So I was kind of hyped to see what Duncan Jones realized this time. And I was not disappointed. This movie is not an action blockbuster as it may seem.
The story is there offcourse: man search bomber, man finds bomber, saves girl. But it’s completely not like that. The movie wants to be smart and not cliché and it succeeds! Well done, Duncan Jones.
Mentionable:
Limitless | Green Hornet | Sanctum | The Eagle | Drive Angry | Red State | Battle: Los Angeles | Paul | Sucker Punch | Insidious | Hannah | Rio | Scream 4 | Water For Elephants | Fast And Furious 5 | Pirates 4 | The Hangover 2 | Kung Fu Panda 2 | Tree Of Life | X-Men: First Class | Super 8 | Mr. Poppers Penguins | 127 Hours

2 Movies To Cry For(disappointments)
Priest
Stars Paul Bettany as a futuristic warrior priest who takes on vampires.
Movie Monstrosity Blog: Tries to hard to copy Blade Runner, Star Wars and Indiana Jones. We need an exorcist to repair this crap.
Bad Teacher
Seems lik a comedy with Cameron Diaz as the titular educator.
Movie Monstrosity Blog: Bored after 15 minutes, just like sitting in class. I want to get out of the cinema. Oh wait, nobody can stop me in the theatres, no teacher , no consequences. God this is HORRIBLE! * Runs out of theatre*
Green Lantern
Comic book adaptation with Ryan Reynolds as a super-powered galaxy protector.
Movie Monstrosity Blog: I don't understand Sheldon Cooper. I saw the movie trailer and all these characters looked rubbish. The whole 3D-look was completely wrong. I did not expect much but this was even lower than my expectation. If you like it then you should have put a ring on it...Thank you for the tip Beyoncé!
The Green Hornet
Michel Gondry’s attempt at a comic book adap (in 3D) starring Seth Rogen.
Movie Monstrosity Blog: It's just meh It's not THAT bad, it's just... The start was really strong but the rest of the movie wasn't that brilliant. I enjoyed it as pure entertainment. and what the hell was Cameron Diaz doing in there? Go back to teaching, you're a terrible secretary. What? Bad at Teaching? Go act in Romcoms, it's the only thing you're good at.
