Ian Holm returns as Bilbo Baggins in The Hobbit

Ian Holm will reprise his role as the older Bilbo Baggins in The Hobbit.

Peter Jackson announced the news via his official Facebook page.
Apparently fans had been asking about a voice heard in that video, and this is what Peter Jackson said:
"One comment that came up from the recent video blog was the Bilbo voice at the end—many of you assumed it was Sir Ian Holm.

"Whilst Ian will be returning as the older Bilbo Baggins in The Hobbit, that recording was actually Martin Freeman's voice, taken from a script read through we recorded when the cast first arrived.

"I have to admit, I wasn't sure who it was when I first heard it, either. Cheers, Peter J."

Atleast he's not getting a digital face like Jeff Bridges in Tron Legacy.

The Hobbit: Part 1 is set for release in December 2012, and it will fight a long and gruesome battle with The Dark Knight Rises for the 'most exciting movie in production' trophy

Joseph Gordon-Levitt will play Gotham City cop John Blake in Dark Knight Rises

Joseph Gordon-Levitt's Dark Knight Rises role has finally been announced - he's set to play a Gotham Cop named John Blake, who is assigned a special duty by newly promoted Comissioner Gordon.
Christopher Nolan has also announced Marion Cotillard will play Wayne Enterprises board member and Bruce Wayne ally Miranda Tate.
Gordon-Levitt and Cotillard join fellow Inception alums Michael Caine, returning as Alfred, and Tom Hardy (Bane), with Nolan keeping true to his habit of casting actors he's previously worked with.

Last week the announcement that Josh Pence will be playing a young Ra's Al-Ghul (Liam Neeson's character in Begins) heavily suggests that Rises will include the League of Assassins in some form, so we can't rule out Talia just yet.

Steve Coogan confirms Alan Partridge movie shoots next year

In a chat with The Playlist, Steve Coogan has confirmed that the long-awaited Alan Partridge movie will shoot next year.
Coogan stated: "We left it behind for a while, but we came back to it because we got a few ideas.

"We’re writing it right now, going to shoot it next year. Don’t know who will direct it, but Pete Baynham [Borat] and Armando Iannucci are writing it with me. We’ve already started it.

I felt a little bit nostalgic today

Casa de mi Doctor Who/ Goodbye, mr Crowley

I've been a bit late on my posts so my apologies! There we're some parties involved with a certain green... you get the point ;) I'm going to keep it short today so let's start!

Crow Reboot in Trouble

Just as The Crow reboot was picking up momentum with being in talks with actor Bradley Cooper and director Carlos Fresnadillo (28 Weeks Later) being signed to direct – the project has hit a brick wall, That wall was put up by The Weinstein Company, who have filed a lawsuit against Relativity Media for moving on The Crow without thier involvement.Deadline gives us the lowdown on this new studio war:

Don’t you just love when this happens? Harvey and Bob’s The Weinstein Co against Ryan Kavanaugh’s Relativity Media seeks injunctive relief and claims there’s “a written contract signed by everybody” which gives the Weinsteins exclusive worldwide distribution rights on The Crow reboot. The original was distributed by the Weinsteins at Miramax back in 1994 and grossed $50.6M domestic. The Weinsteins and Kavanaugh went back and forth on “a number of issues” before the lawsuit was filed this afternoon.

 Casa de mi Padre trailer

Will Ferrell did a great job in "The Other Guys". I'm truly wondering what he'll make of this movie. Like i said, i loved his last movie. Is he on the right track again?

Richard Alpert is Da Boss | Sharks in 3D?

Nestor Carbonell returning for The Dark Knight Rises

Another, YES ANOTHER, small update, Variety are reporting that Nestor Carbonell will reprise his role as the Mayor of Gotham in The Dark Knight Rises.

Carbonell didn't have a huge amount of screentime in the last movie, but it'll be nice to see him return.

A few days ago, it was announced that a few smaller roles had been cast in the Nolan's threequel, further amping up our anticipation for things to come.

Knowing Nolan's love for secrecy, it could be a long time until we get any official images of new characters, or even a teaser trailer to enlighten our burden.

Carbonell and returning cast members Christian Bale, Michael Caine and Gary Oldman are joined by newbies Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy and Juno Temple for Rises. Filming is set to begin in May, so there's not much time for more small-fry casting announcements like this.

FYI, Nolan is looking for a talented young bearded monkey to cast.

First image from Shark Night 3D online

With a title like that, the new film from David R. Ellis (Snakes on a Plane) was never going to be a tough sell.

It's a commonly-acknowledged truth that sharks have great cinematic potential so here's hoping that Ellis delivers the B-movie thrills that were sadly absent from Snakes on a Plane.

The plot sees a bunch of college students head down to a lake house in Louisiana's Gulf Bay, where they're terrorised by a series of shark attacks.

It's a simple enough premise, that should hopefully result in some rollickingly-good Saturday night fun.

Shark Night 3D is set to land in the US on 14 September 2011, and a UK release should follow soon after that.

Les Grossman Returns: A nutless monkey could do this blog

Tom Cruise's bloated, rap-loving alter ego Les Grossman is set to star in his own movie.
The foul-mouthed movie studio executive first appeared in 2008 comedy Tropic Thunder.
Cruise in a fat suit and bald cap seems to made an impression on the audiences, including me.
Rumours began surfacing early last summer, before the studio made it official - even going as far as attempting to promote Grossman as a real person.

However, in the run up to the US Comedy Awards, Superbad's Bill Hader has confirmed it is still being made, and went as far to the movie had even been "written and is close to arriving in theatres.
Robert Downey, Jr. received a Best Supporting Actor nod for his role as method actor Kirk Lazarus in Tropic Thunder, but it remains to be seen whether he, or the likes of Ben Stiller and Jack Black, will return for this venture. No word yet on who will direct the picture, or as to when it might be released.

My opinion? Best character EVER. WOOP WOOP

Three more actors join The Dark Knight Rises

Three more actors have been cast in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises, according to a report by Variety.

Daniel Sunjata, Diego Klattenhoff and Burn Gorman are all set to take supporting roles in the hotly-anticipated threequel.

Daniel Sunjata and his Buzz Lightyear-esque chin are being tapped to play a special forces operative. He's probably best-known for his roles in TV's Rescue Me and Grey's Anatomy.

Diego Klattenhoff is set to play a rookie cop, which means he'll probably be working with Gary Oldman's Commissioner Gordon. The Canadian actor has previously appeared in Mean Girls, Lucky Number Slevin and The Informers.

Burn Gorman looks likely to take an unspecified supporting role. American-born Brit Gorman played Owen Harper in Doctor Who spin-off Torchwood, and has also appeared in Cemetery Junction and Layer Cake.

The Dark Knight Rises is set for release on 20 July 2012, with shooting due to begin imminently.

Quickie News: Crow | Ghul | Lumet

Some fast news for the scanning eye

Crow Remake Back On

Cult classic The Crow is to be remade by 28 Weeks Later filmmaker Juan Carlos Fresnadillo. Producer Edward R. Pressman said: "The original Crow was groundbreaking cinema. Its gothic visual and musical ideas influenced a generation and cinema itself.

The 1994 movie starred Bruce Lee's son Brandon, who died on set following a mix-up with bullets.

Alex Proyas, the director of the original, criticised plans for the remake when it was first announced, citing Brandon's tragic death as the sole motivation for finishing the film.
Note mindfuck: Compare it with The Dark Knight and Heath Ledger

Ras Al Ghul returns in Dark Knight Rise

He was a body double for Armie Hammer in ‘The Social Network’, now Josh Pence has a new role- a young Ras Al Ghul in ‘Dark Knight Rises’.

Though the plot of the film remains under wraps, Pence’s role clearly indicates that Ra’s Al Ghul, Batman’s mentor-turned nemesis who died in Batman Begins, isn’t entirely out of the picture quite yet.
The scene in question is a flashback to 30 years before the events in ‘Batman Begins".

Oscar Winning Director Sidney Lumet passed away

Sidney Lumet, the Oscar winning director who ad directed such cinema classics like Network, Fail-Safe and Serpico, is gone.TIME reports:

As driven, aggressive and purposeful as any of his film protagonists, Lumet directed 43 feature films from his 1957 debut, 12 Angry Men, to the 2007 Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead. Nominated four times for the Best Director Oscar, and receiving an honorary Academy Award in 2005, Lumet finally ran out of stories, clout and (the last to go) boundless creative energy. He died April 9, at 86, of lymphoma at his Manhattan home.

Doctor Who's Darkest Hour: Sixth Series

Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat has discussed a shocking character death in the show's upcoming sixth series, which begins on BBC One later this month.

Speaking to Doctor Who Magazine in an exclusive interview for the new issue, Moffat reveals: "Shows like Doctor Who should have big, colourful, memorable moments that make you go, ‘What the hell?’. Well this is one of them."
He continues: "If you’re not going ‘What the hell?’ it’s business as usual, but it’s hard to create a shock in Doctor Who when we’ve already blown up the universe a couple of times! What do you do next? When I came up with this incredible, heart-wrenching twist, I thought, ‘We kill off one of the leads in the season opener! Who’s going to stop watching at that point?’ It lures you in."
He adds: "You see those four different covers for this month’s Doctor Who Magazine? We’re not lying, we’re not cheating. One of those four people is going to die. The Doctor’s darkest hour is coming."

If you don't know the series, shame on you! If you like to evaporate the shame, go see Series Five( The start with The Eleventh Doctor). I started with Series 5 and i seriously want to see S1-4. Also, here's the trailer:

X-Men: First Class Posters+ The Tour of Flanders

The guys at Totalfilm made some pretty astonishing vintage posters. They really fit the era of which the film takes place. Let me show you their covers. X-Men: First Class hits cinemas on 2 June 2011.

Also, small news that i'd just love to share. We have a new series running in Belgium about The Tour Of Flanders. If you're into cycling( You probably aren't because most of you are Americans....I mean, it's the same with American football around here, only a small group of people really love it, like me). So to make it short. It's about the 94th Tour Of Flanders and on that day (3rth April 2010) many things happened to many people. Let me show you a picture:
Yes indeed, it's a dwarf ready to shit on another man in a brothel. Reminder: total surprise for the man that is  handcuffed. He was lured into the brothel.
