Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2 trailer

The first full trailer for the final Harry Potter movies has finally landed online.

Revealing a load of impressive new footage from the film, this closing chapter in the Potter saga sees the events of over a decade of filmmaking finally come to an end.
Everything you missed from the first part is in this one: Hogwarts in flames, armies rising and a lot of special effectd waiting to be launched on your feastful eyes.

Ian Holm returns as Bilbo Baggins in The Hobbit

Ian Holm will reprise his role as the older Bilbo Baggins in The Hobbit.

Peter Jackson announced the news via his official Facebook page.
Apparently fans had been asking about a voice heard in that video, and this is what Peter Jackson said:
"One comment that came up from the recent video blog was the Bilbo voice at the end—many of you assumed it was Sir Ian Holm.

"Whilst Ian will be returning as the older Bilbo Baggins in The Hobbit, that recording was actually Martin Freeman's voice, taken from a script read through we recorded when the cast first arrived.

"I have to admit, I wasn't sure who it was when I first heard it, either. Cheers, Peter J."

Atleast he's not getting a digital face like Jeff Bridges in Tron Legacy.

The Hobbit: Part 1 is set for release in December 2012, and it will fight a long and gruesome battle with The Dark Knight Rises for the 'most exciting movie in production' trophy

Joseph Gordon-Levitt will play Gotham City cop John Blake in Dark Knight Rises

Joseph Gordon-Levitt's Dark Knight Rises role has finally been announced - he's set to play a Gotham Cop named John Blake, who is assigned a special duty by newly promoted Comissioner Gordon.
Christopher Nolan has also announced Marion Cotillard will play Wayne Enterprises board member and Bruce Wayne ally Miranda Tate.
Gordon-Levitt and Cotillard join fellow Inception alums Michael Caine, returning as Alfred, and Tom Hardy (Bane), with Nolan keeping true to his habit of casting actors he's previously worked with.

Last week the announcement that Josh Pence will be playing a young Ra's Al-Ghul (Liam Neeson's character in Begins) heavily suggests that Rises will include the League of Assassins in some form, so we can't rule out Talia just yet.

Steve Coogan confirms Alan Partridge movie shoots next year

In a chat with The Playlist, Steve Coogan has confirmed that the long-awaited Alan Partridge movie will shoot next year.
Coogan stated: "We left it behind for a while, but we came back to it because we got a few ideas.

"We’re writing it right now, going to shoot it next year. Don’t know who will direct it, but Pete Baynham [Borat] and Armando Iannucci are writing it with me. We’ve already started it.

I felt a little bit nostalgic today

  6. Almost too much information for one post, man. Almost, I suppose. I like being able to glean an idea for a comic character from several images, so that will do for the green lantern. I've only kept up with Harry Potter as a casual interest, so that's kewl. I very much look forward to the hobbit film, and I see no reason not to look forward to Ian as having the role of a bilbo baggins. I'll leave anything to the next dark night to the creative gods that deem it into being, so I simply look forward to this next outing. As for the rest, I'm not too concerned, but I appreciate the information you share. Quite a post, man.

  8. I don't know why, but I'm not interested at all in Green Lantern, maybe because I don't like the actor.
