Doctor Who's Darkest Hour: Sixth Series

Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat has discussed a shocking character death in the show's upcoming sixth series, which begins on BBC One later this month.

Speaking to Doctor Who Magazine in an exclusive interview for the new issue, Moffat reveals: "Shows like Doctor Who should have big, colourful, memorable moments that make you go, ‘What the hell?’. Well this is one of them."
He continues: "If you’re not going ‘What the hell?’ it’s business as usual, but it’s hard to create a shock in Doctor Who when we’ve already blown up the universe a couple of times! What do you do next? When I came up with this incredible, heart-wrenching twist, I thought, ‘We kill off one of the leads in the season opener! Who’s going to stop watching at that point?’ It lures you in."
He adds: "You see those four different covers for this month’s Doctor Who Magazine? We’re not lying, we’re not cheating. One of those four people is going to die. The Doctor’s darkest hour is coming."

If you don't know the series, shame on you! If you like to evaporate the shame, go see Series Five( The start with The Eleventh Doctor). I started with Series 5 and i seriously want to see S1-4. Also, here's the trailer:

  2. Ahh, doctor who, I've been watching it almost consistently since the first season. Why would they do that though, I guess it's good advertising to say one will die, but I bet it's going to be one dies then somehow they save them :\

  5. I thought character deaths were saved for season finales, unless they were already in jeopardy as a cliffhanger at the end of one season. I am aware of Dr. Who but never really watched it. I feel likes there's SO much backstory and history I've missed (the show's been around since the 60s right?) I don't think I'd get it.

  13. Love Dr Who!

A lot of people seem to have trouble adjusting to each new Dr, especially when there is one as good as David Tennent. But in all honestly, the new one played by Matt Smith is seriously brilliant.
