I'm getting really into this. Even invented a new title for my own short film now! The Blaxpendables: Michael Jai White, The Rock, Jamie Foxx, Wesley Snipes, Denzel Washington, Laurenece Fishburne, Samuel L. Jackson and Morgan Freeman, in a new 70's Blaxploitation story based on The Expendables. The Blaxpendables: They're Bold, Buffed and Badass.
Alright, let's get this done! This is the last round of this week's Exploitation! Next week we continue with two new genres. I'm dropping Nunsploitation because there aren't many/not really awesome enough.
The first one is the most recent one and it truly kicks alot of ass! It was released in 2009 and has alot of punchlines: He's super bad. He's outta sight. He's Black Dynamite!
Black Dynamite is the story of 1970s African-American action legend Black Dynamite. The Man killed his brother, pumped heroin into local orphanages, and flooded the ghetto with adulterated malt liquor. Black Dynamite was the one hero willing to fight The Man all the way from the blood-soaked city streets to the hallowed halls of the Honky House.
Next one is even better. It has one of the BEST soundtracks ever made! Really awesome!
Two Black bounty hunters, "Boss Nigger" and Amos (Williamson and D'Urville Martin), ride into a small Western town in pursuit of fugitive Jed Clayton (William Smith). When they discover that the town has no sheriff, "Boss Nigger" takes that position for himself after outsmarting the cowardly white mayor.
And this is the soundtrack with more epicness
And we end our last Exploitation Blaxploitation with Black Caesar!
Black Caesar is a 1973 American blaxploitation film, starring Fred Williamson and Gloria Hendry. The film was written and directed by Larry Cohen. It is a remake of the 1931 film Little Caesar. It features a notable musical score (Black Caesar) by James Brown, his first experience with writing music for film. A sequel titled, Hell Up in Harlem was released in late 1973.
And that was it! We are done with Blaxploitation! Hopefully you all enjoyed this awesome week between the nuns, guns and blacks! We return with two new themes, but only next week. Have a GREAT weekend, ladies and gentlemen!
